BIO:
(Warning, a long read!)
Aerie is part of a new house, named after the personification of the Sunwell, that serves to protect it and expand its influence over the Sin'dorei now that it has been reignited.Previously, she served as a priest's apprentice under Liadrin, before Lia lost her faith in the light following the fall of Quel'Thalas. There long were rumors about just how close the two of them were, due to their long nights of study together in Liadrin's private quarters. Nothing was ever substantiated, though, so no charges of impropriety were ever brought. There was a falling out between the two of them when Liadrin agreed to take the Naaru M'uru's power by force. They had little contact from then up to the fate filled day Kael'thas made his attack on Silvermoon and all of Azeroth by trying to use the Sunwell as a portal for the Legion to enter in. After the battle, with the two of them standing bathed in the light of the Sunwell reborn, Aerie looked to Liadrin. The Lady was backlit from behind with the glorious holy brightness and Aerie swore she could see a small, sad smile cross Liadrin's features for the briefest of moments, before her former mentor would turn and walk away, joining the Draenei and their Shattered Sun Offensive. If one were to glimpse both their eyes in that instant, they would see them shimmering with barely contained emotion. Now Aerie follows Liadrin's path of redemption for the Blood Elves, if from a distance. Rather than joining the many of her kindred that went out into the world with the Horde, she stayed behind to help with the rebuilding of Silvermoon. After hearing of what was done by Garrosh in Panderia in the name of the Horde, she was glad she hadn't joined the cause. It turned her stomach to hear of the horrid things that had been done to the people there. She joined the group of rebels bent on his downfall and was there to finally see him brought low; the honor of the Horde restored.Upon Garrosh's arrest, there was some calming of her spirit, but the news of his escape chilled her to the bone. He could never be allowed to inflict the pain he once had on anyone ever again. So, with a new purpose set before her, she joined the team heading to Draenor for his capture. She swore her joining up had nothing to do with the fact that Liadrin was part of the leadership. Her friends, however, doubt her sincerity. With Garrosh finally taken care of, and the alternative Draenor made right from his influence, she returned to Azeroth. Those old enemies that had tainted the Sunwell once more threatened her home and world. She stood against the demons of the Legion, helping to fight back their invasion, and use the holy power of the Sunwell to purify their darkness and bring back the Light. After the Legion had finally been sealed away forever, she was called into a special private meeting with the narru. Does she go, or keep her distance?((After the events of the beginning of Shadowlands, with Sylvie tearing open the barrier between death and life, two parallel versions of Aerie now exist. In her original story, she does to the meeting with the naaru and is never heard from again. This storyline then continues with my Lightforged Paladin. That is how things lasted through all of BfA. Now, though, there is another version of Aerie that never went to the meeting with the narru and continues on with her normal life, waking up just after the start of Shadowlands wondering why so much time has passed and why everyone assumes she is dead.))Aerieondra has awoken from her slumber. Originally disappearing at the beginning of BfA, due to being transformed into the Lightforged Pheta'eras by the Naaru, The events of the upcoming conflict in Shadowlands has broken the barriers between life and death and even reality itself. With the shattering of space and time, an alternate reality Aerie that decided not to go and meet with the Naaru that fateful day has been merged into our own timeline. She awakens from her bed after defeating the Legion to find her world much different than what she remembered. What was going on with these new races and allies and conflicts? How long had the Alliance and the Horde been in total war? What in the world had Sylvanas done? And why is everyone she meets surprised to see her again because they thought she was dead? Hadn't she just seen them all the day before? All she knows is that her duty to the Sunwell and the restoration of her people calls to her once more, and so she returns to the fray once more. After getting used to this new time that she found herself in, it took her a moment to regain her footing. There were too many nights lost to fel wine and mistaken companions of the night as she tried to come to terms with the fact that everyone thought she was dead and her previous positions of authority and power were gone, assigned to someone else in the wake of her supposed demise. Seeking to clear her head, she returned back to the Sunwell, the only place she still felt truly herself. When she sat at the lip of it and dangled her toes into its font of power, somehow she knew that it, at least, remembered her. She could feel it reaching out to her, enveloping her, and even if she had no official position as its guardian any longer, in her mind it spoke to her. The voice, soft as a whisper at first and growing with each refrain caressed her mind with the knowledge that it had picked her as its champion. Beyond, now, all of the official posts and the diplomatic red tape that comes from them, she was freed to act as its agent. She was freed from duty to faction, and now was a sovereign citizen of the Sunwell and its wishes for her and her people. She was still someone fiercely loyal to her own Sin'dorei, but not she need not follow regal will to pursue the best interests of them or this font that had chosen her. Reinvigorated with holy energies in ways she had never felt before, she sets out on a journey to hunt down the one who had most recently threatened to bring the curse of death and unlife to its shores. She had betrayed not only her people, but the call of the Sunwell upon her. She had become the anti-light, and the well could no longer let one of its former children bring such a curse upon the land. Reaching out with her hand, she focused her energies and drew in new ways upon the powers now granted her, and cast a tracking spell to lead her to her prey. She was coming for her. And, soon, the banshee would pay for her crimes against the light. So say the Sunwell and it's champion. After channeling the tracking spell with her newly gifted Sunwell magicks, she was able to track the Banshee Queen to the place she least expected: Icecrown Citadel. She knew not why someone who had almost faced the end of her immortality once there would return, but in truth, it didn't matter. Aerie knew Sylvie was there, and so that is where she would follow as well. It was already late in the afternoon, and the sun was starting to dip behind the horizon. The last ferry to Northrend would have left long ago. So, Aerie decided to take advantage of this one last moment of respite and retire to her quarters for the evening. She stripped off all her armor and strode out onto the balcony, letting the warm air of the Isle of Quel'Danas caressed her skin and eased some of the pressure she felt weighing upon her. As the Sunwell flickered beside her, she felt its warmth and light continuing to amplify the powers it had placed within her. She knew she might not be back to this place for quite some time, and so she needed to absorb as much of its energies as she could. Leaning against the railing, she took in the sights that she had come to know as her home. Tomorrow, she would continue her hunt. Tonight, she rested and enjoyed being surrounded by all she was fighting for.As Aerie sat below decks in the ship transporting her to Northrend in pursuit of the Banshee Queen, the sound of waves rhythmically hitting the hull and the soft rocking of the ship back and forth lulled her off to sleep. As she dozed there, she was overcome with a dream of someone reaching out to her. It is almost as if they were reaching out across life and death itself, calling to her, beckoning her to come. She was needed to help restore the balance, to repair the veil, and to eliminate the one who was the cause of it all. She couldn't place the voice or see who was speaking it, but she seemed to be surrounded by this blue haze of shimmering light that flowed like mist around her, obscuring her vision. She suddenly heard the sound of what seemed to be a hundred angel's wings flapping all in unison and the mist cleared enough that she could see herself. She was no longer wearing her own armor, but something new. Thin strips of gossamer barely covered her form and from her back, there seemed to be wings that were hers and yet not. All of it was colored the same mixture of blue and light as the mist, granting it all an ethereal quality. She was suddenly shocked awake when the boat butted hard against the dock, bringing the gentle rocking to an end abruptly and with a loud creak of wood on wood. She shook her head to clear out the cobwebs, but the scene from the dream lingered. Who was calling to her, what did they want, and what lay ahead of her? Only time will tell she surmised and gathered up her belonging to disembark and begin her trek to Icecrown.Events that happened in Shadowlands redacted by order of the leadership of both Alliance and HordeThroughout the events of Dragonflight, she stayed primarily in Silvermoon, tending to and healing the Sunwell while standing watch over it. As The War Within progressed, she began to feel a pull to investigate more and more the work of the Shadow. She could feel it's dark pull reaching once again toward the Sunwell. It is time to put her new training to use. During the time she stayed in Silvermoon, she wasn't being idle. She trained with the Blood Knights every day she could and began to find more comfort int he light as a Paladin rather than a Priest. Now, with newfound talents and abilities, she once more sets out in search of the darkness. It will not escape her light againTo be continued in Midnight...
